I shouted out "Who killed the Kennedys?" When after all, it was you and me.

I leave for Indonesia in 1 week, this is kind of freaking me out. Also, Neil deGrasse Tyson is one of my favorite people right now. I've got tons of stuff that I still need to get done in this last week, not to mention the bajillion things that I want to do in Perth / Australia before I leave, but as I draw closer to the end, I actually feel like I'm ready to go, which is a nice feeling - very complete.
Seeing as I leave in only a week, and am not sure how much internet access I'll have once I go, I figure I'd better give everyone the plan on what's going on - or at least what we hope is going to go on. So first of all, the people I'm going with.

My Travel Buddies
The homies that I'll be backpacking around East Asia with are 6 other Curtin exchange students, who come from a Uni in England. Most of them are studying photography, which is going to be awesome, since I'm a horrible photographer and all my pictures involve lots of photoshopping skills. The 6 of them are Rachael, Tamlee, Jess, Beth, Shaun and Jack, so it should be a lot of fun - I'm sure you'll see plenty of pictures, I'll try to upload them as much as I can (which reminds me, I need to buy memory cards and a card reader).

November 10thThis is the day that we leave Perth. We're getting all packed up, figuring out what we're doing with our luggage (I still have no idea what's happening to mine... almost on the verge of freaking out), and boarding our flight to Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia.
We've got a hotel booked until the 18th, so it will be our "bridge" into the backpacking world, where we can sort of chill, explore, etc. For my Canadians: Bali is like, the Bahamas of Western Australia - it's really cheap, lots of beaches, and cheap flights to get there; it's got a lot of Aussies going there for vacations, so it should be pretty cool.

November 18th
We're done in Bali, we will be checking out of our hotel, and catching a cab to the airport (hopefully for very cheap!). We have a flight booked to Singapore, and then a 2 hour layover, and then we're boarding another flight to Phuket, Thailand.
I think... we have a hostel booked for the first few nights in Phuket, but I could be mistaken. If not, we'll probably book it at our travel meeting tomorrow. Anyways, this is where the plan gets kind of dodgy. We aren't sure of how long we're going to want to spend in certain places, so the other times are rough.

3rd and 4th Weeks of November
We're not really sure of the times, and what's going on here, but I'll give you a rough idea of where we'll be. We're starting in Phucket, and we're going to move North up through Thailand, paying particular attention to the coasts - we'll check out the islands like Phi Phi and Koh Phangan, and then probably catch a train North into Bangkok (just as a stop-over destination).

First and Second Weeks of December
After stopping off in Bangkok (which is in the middle of Thailand, we'll probably spend these weeks up North, definitely visiting Chiang Mai, but probably lots of places around there too. Hoping to see some elephant reserves, and get some awesome experiences bathing, feeding and playing with the elephants - fingers crossed that it's going to be fun.

Third Week of December
We will definitely be heading over to Cambodia this time. The plan is to catch a train from Chiang Mai down again to Bangkok, and then another train over to the Cambodian Border. Then we would catch a taxi/bus to Siem Reap and check out the temples... and then (my favorite part) a speed boat from Siem Reap to Phnom Phen - super pumped about the speed boat.
Once in Phnom Phen, we might or might not head over to Saigon, depending on what the group wants, and the entry requirements, but I'd definitely like to cross Vietnam off my list of Countries.
After about a week, we'll be heading back to Bangkok via the route we came (ground transportation).
December 20th to December 27th
We will be back in Bangkok and staying there for good this time, not just passing through. We'll check out the sights, and then we will be spending Christmas there, which should be a lot of fun.
A few days later, my English homies will be taking off back to Australia, and I'll be staying in Bangkok. This is where I'm not too sure of the plan, but I'm just going to roll with it.
I know a few friends (Michelle and Lindsay) who plan on being in the area at that time, so I might hang out with them for a little bit - New Years in Thailand anyone? And after that, I'll probably get a hotel for the first week of January (a nice hotel, spoil myself) or I'll stay in a hostel and meet some people, who knows. Either or, I'll be chilling there until I receive my immigration documents for Hong Kong, and then I'll be straight off to City University in Hong Kong, via a flight that I'll buy once I have my immigration documents.
So... I know that a lot of it is unplanned, but that's for the purpose that we're backpacking Thailand, and not really sticking to a schedule. I'm going to have my phone with me, but I'll keep the SIM out of it, only using Wifi. I'll probably have the sim with me, and use it just for emergencies, etc. I'm going to have to look into the roaming charges, etc. Anyways, it's 2 in the morning, and I'm tired, so I'm gonna go to bed! I'll update you guys on my last week a little bit later when I get up to some more fun things!
Stay sweet!

My blog editor is right messed right now, so hopefully everything looks normal layout wise...

Life's too short... Travel the World!: I shouted out "Who killed the Kennedys?" When after all, it was you and me.
